Matsumoto, a castle town with a history of more than 400 years, Azumino with small galleries and museums in the countryside, Mt. Kamikochi in the mountain scenic area, Mt. flat. Further north, there are Omachi, one of the nation's leading heavy snowfall areas in the Northern Alps. As a snow resort in winter and a plateau full of alpine plants in spring and fall, the area is loved by many tourists throughout the year.
