Access | By Public Transportation: From Matsumoto Station, take a train to Shin-Shimashima Station, then transfer to a local bus for approximately 60 minutes to Kamikochi. Direct buses to Kamikochi are also available from Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto via the Alpico “Sawayaka Shinshu-go” Express Bus. By Car: From Matsumoto IC, take Route 158 towards Kamikochi for about 60 minutes. At Sawando Parking Lot, private vehicles must be parked, and visitors must transfer to a shuttle bus or taxi for an additional 30-minute ride to Kamikochi. |
