National Treasure Matsumoto Castle
It is the oldest existing five-tiered, six-story castle tower in Japan and has been designated as a National Treasure. Built between 1593 and 1594, the castle tower showcases the castle construction techniques of the Sengoku period. Additionally, its striking black and white contrast stands out beautifully against the backdrop of the Japanese Alps.
